The Fatra planter box system incorporates a protection layer of FatraTex 300gsm geotextile fabric over the existing membrane to provide protection to the Fatrafol PVC membrane. The Fatrafol 810v PVC waterproofing membrane can be loose laid or spot fixed directly over the FatraTex geo-textile protection layer. The system is protected by Fatra Armour protection mat prior to the installation of the Fatra drainage cell, filter fabric and vegetation layer. The specifications for the different layers will depend on the client’s objectives, requirements and project specific specifications. Fatra provides all components for our planter box systems making it simple and convenient for our approved applicators.
The Fatrafol PVC membranes are tested to FLL standards and are 100% root resistant, proven to withstand root penetration from the most aggressive roots such as birch and oak trees. No additional protection layers or root resistant coatings are required unlike traditional bitumen and liquid membranes.
With the Fatrafol membranes 100% recyclable at the end of its service life it can be made using up to 30% recycled materials, Fatrafol PVC membrane are the most sustainable and environmentally friendly waterproofing membranes on the market.
The drainage cell is placed over the Fatra Armour protection mat to provide sufficient drainage capabilities to the vegetation layer.
The Fatra Armour protection mat is installed directly over the PVC membrane to provide protection to the waterproofing system from any sharp edges and protruding items which might be present in the desired ballast.
The Fatrafol 810v reinforced membrane is installed over the FatraTex geotextile protection layer and can be either loose laid or spot fixed. The Fatrafol 810v is completely root resistant and is tested to FLL standards.
FatraTex geo-textile fabric is loose laid over the existing failed membrane to provide protection to the Fatrafol PVC membrane from any potential contaminants which maybe present in the existing membrane.
