The FatraPad mechanically fixed insulated cold store roof panel refurbishment system provides a none-penetrative mechanically fixed waterproofing system that provides superior aesthetics and drastically reduces the amount of wind flutter the membrane is exposed to compared to traditional lap fastened systems.
A full assessment by a Fatra Australia representative is require to assess the condition of the existing roof panel to establish what preparation maybe required such as rust repair, air sealing and other factors that will achieve the best possible performance. A structural assessment maybe required to be carried out by an approved and certified structural engineer to ensure the roof panel and structure are able to carry the additional weight of the Fatra system.
Unlike liquid applied membranes, the Fatrafol 810v is unaffected by substrate moisture and inclement weather conditions during installation which can cause the membrane to delaminate and defect prematurely. All joints, laps and terminations are hot air fusion welded creating a permanent and physical bond and does not rely on adhesives sealants or tapes to create a waterproofed joint.
The Fatra mechanically fixed systems can be designed with multiple fixing patterns in accordance with AS1170 Part 2 to create a mechanically fixed system that improves the aesthetics and wind uplift performance of the Fatra PVC Membrane system. The Fatrafol 810v reinforcement provides superior shear and tear resistance ensuring the membrane is able withstand high amounts of wind uplift without damaging the PVC membrane system.
The Fatrafol 810v reinforced membrane is installed over the existing cold store roof panel in conjunction with the FatraPad system. The Fatrafol 810v is bonded to Fatra Australia’s uniquely engineered Fatrapad system where the membrane is fused to the fixing system creating a none penetrative mechanically fixed system.
